Merchant & Mills

I was alerted to this wonderful video by Silvia, and thought I’d share it with you too.

I adore the utilitarian aesthetic of Merchant & Mills and would happily give sewing room space to any of their items of haberdashery.  I particularly covet some of their entomology pins, their “eyetest” and “seamstress” mugs, and the pattern for top no. 64. But, let’s be honest here, I could cause serious damage to my credit card in their shop!

But enough…here’s the video…I challenge you to watch it and not hanker for an afternoon (or several) working with Carolyn and Roderick in their spectacularly beautiful workshop.

That was beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

  2. This video is a favorite of mine. I saw some of their things in a San Francisco boutique last summer and have wanted to sell them ever since. Currently working on finally making that happen …

    • Ooooh good luck with that. I’m planning on moving my sewing room over the next year into our smaller bedroom. My treat when it’s done is some beautiful new items from M&M. I really can’t wait.

  3. Great Video, I love Merchant and Mills, the simple shapes of the patterns and wonderful fabrics. I am planning to make a pilgrimage down to the shop one day. Very inspirational, thanks for sharing.
