Life in a northern town – June 2016

I cannot believe it’s a month since my last post! Life here has been so unbelievably busy that the days are just flying by.  Thankfully it’s all good busy, but it’s busy nonetheless.

The house move is progressing.  Hopefully not much longer now.

The kids are dancing up a storm so dance classes now take up quite a bit of our time.

I’ve had a very, very big birthday.

I’ve finished the first year of my accountancy qualifications.  And passed.

And I’ve been knitting and sewing, but haven’t got a single finished garment photo for you yet.

I’m hoping to get time to take a breath and get some photos soon.  I’ll try not to take another month to do so!

  1. Happy birthday beautiful Evie! I hope that they spoiled you rotten on the day. That is great news about the house. Hopefully you will be settled somewhere soon. The kids really are dancing up a storm. They are really great! They must be very excited about moving. Congratulations on passing your first year. I can only imagine how hard it must to find the time to study. What a wonderful achievement. I don’t know how you find the time to knit and sew so much. Xx

      Thank you. *blushes*
We signed contracts last week on the sale of our current house and the purchase of our new one. We are now waiting for all queries to be finalised and then we move. I’ve got everything crossed that we’ll be in before the school holidays. That would be perfect.
I’ll be sewing and knitting a whole lot more then…hello new sewing room! 😀

  2. Belated birthday greetings to you and fingers crossed that the sale goes through smoothly 😀

    A belated happy birthday.
I’ve just had a much bigger birthday than you and, like the queen, am spreading it out over a couple of weeks – although I’m not 90 😉
Good luck with your house sale and move – they are always a nightmare at some point along the way but hopefully it will go mostly smoothly for you.

I fully support spreading birthdays out as long as you can. Happy birthday to you.

The whole house malarky has been hellish, but it will be worth it in the end…

You are so impressive I can barely stand it! And all of this by the age of 35 :-)! Can’t wait to see how the move goes…

Watch this space for house news. It’s been going on forever. You know this feeling!
