Jeans 4.5

Just a very quick, photoless, update.

I very quickly basted the jeans together today.

They need a bit of adjustment at the waist which involves moving the coin pocket more towards the centre. This is purely because I’ve lost a few lbs since I cut them out (thankfully, as the scales were definiately heading in the other direction!).

But other than that…

…they are looking pretty darn good.

The kids are visiting Nana and Granddad on Monday.  It’s a holiday weekend here in the UK.

I’m hoping to make some more progress then!  With any luck I should get the adjustments done and the topstitching started.

I’ll keep you posted!  Enjoy your weekend.

Oh no! If it makes you feel any better it’s a typical Bank Holiday weekend with rain and it’s cold.
I’m not helping much, am I?

Thank you. I love topstitching and am lucky that my sewing machine has a speed adjustment so I can take it nice and slowly.

  5. Oooo childless time is wonderful, though lovely to have them home again too! Hope the jeans sewing went well.

I think you appreciate the “you” time all the more because you have your children…and you appreciate them all the more for a little break! The jeans are nearly finished…button, rivets, hem, done!
