I’m not dead!

I have to say a little more sleep would help me feel less so, but rest assured I’m still alive and kicking.

I do recognise that I’ve been tardy with my posts recently, that’s mainly because I’ve been wrangling interlining into curtains.  I have buckram to insert and then the first of the pair of curtains for the sitting room is ready for pleating. Phew! One down, one to go. I can’t say I’ll be sad to see these finished.

Because they are time consuming, interlined curtains make for dull blogging. Lots of repetitive stitching and straight lines. And crawling around on the work table to avoid moving the fabric too much. FatBoy trestles are impressively sturdy.

Hopefully I’ll be able to show the pleats this week and the finished pair very shortly. I’m itching to do some dressmaking, and the anticipation of this is sustaining me through the tedium of curtains.

I’m also trying to get a picture from Ma Stitches in Law of her Christmas skirt, and I’ve nearly finished the Maille vest for Mr S.  So should have more to show for my efforts soon.

Keep going, I’m impressed by your dedication! I’d have cut them up and made blinds by now!
