The prosecution states that the defendant, known only as Pendle Stitches, did on Thursday 19th November, wilfully and with intent purchase an excessive number of crafty good things.

The defense argues that in no way was Pendle Stitches excessive and that her purchases were well within the bounds of normality and decency.

The CSI (Craft Spending Investigators) present the following evidence to the jury:

New Lanark Yarn from Woolfish.co.uk

How to Make a Woolly Jumper mini quilt kit by Brenda Walker

Moda Layer Cake to make a quilt for Button's bedroom

Pattern book for cute knitted toys

Vintage style embroidery threads to stitch the pictured sampler

Patterns for gorgeous knits for Button

Can the jury please retire to consider its verdict.

    Not Guilty!

The plaintiff showed remarkable restraint under tremendous pressure.
(Is this where I declare that I too attended and spent!)

  5. Wendy Robinson says:

My friend bought me “How to make a woolly jumper”for Christmas, which is lovely. However there is not enough backing or wadding.

    The backing is 11″ x 28″ (to cut 2 piaces 16 1/2″ by 15 1/2″)
    The wadding is 141/2″ x 32″ ( to cut 1 piece 33″ x 16”)

I don’t want to upset my friend by tellig her,and I do have material I can use but I am disappointed.
