A new passion

One upon a time in a land far, far away (Well. Surrey. Its not actually that far but for the purpose of this story….anyway, I digress) there lived a lonely and unloved Bread Machine.  One day the Bread Machine found its way into my loft (I think there was a removal truck involved), and there settled down to live a cold, lonely and generally unproductive life.
Well not any more. For I, my friends, have discovered the magic of the Bread Machine.
And it is this….

5 minutes of measuring ingredients (all of them wholesome and not an hydrogenated fat or other weird thing in sight) and you’re done.  The machine does the rest.  Leave it alone, go and do other more interesting things, and soon enough the house is filled with the smell of bread baking.
And if you’re lucky enough to get to it before Mr Stitches you might even get a taste of it.  Which is yummy btw.
Oh, and it’s about a third of the price of a similar sized loaf at the local bakers.  So I reckon that if I’d paid for this rather than receiving it from Ma Stitches who also didn’t use it, it would only take a couple of months to recoup the expenditure just by making normal wholegrain loaves.  That would be reduced if I used it to prove French bread, or rolls, or fruit loaves, or………hmmm, I’m hungry at the thought and the slice I cut for the picture is calling to me.  Bye for now.
